Where We've Been

Julie and Brian have been cruising for over 20 years.  They've sailed Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and Disney.  Thanks to the Internet, we can now track where we've been!  You can also track us on the ShipMate app @HowWeCruiseBri and @HowWeCruiseJul

OMG! Another new ship! And it's the inaugural sailing!  This ship is ICONIC!  Currently largest ship at sea, this behemoth had stuff for the whole family, so of course we brought them.  We stayed in an Infinite Family Balcony Room, checked out all the neighborhoods including the new Surfside Neighborhood, and let the kids stay up way too late.  But hey, it's ICON!

It's Jersey Week!  When you live in New Jersey, there is a Teachers' Convention the first week of every November.  It usually coincides with Election Day and Veteran's Day, so it makes for a light week of schoolwork.  Well, for us that means its travel time!  We sailed again from Bayonne, NJ with 50 of our closest friends.  It was our first time on a Quantum Class ship and it was so worth it.

Check out our Group Cruises page for more information on how you can join us for our next group cruise.

Vlogs coming soon!

It was so nice, we had to do it twice.  This was our second group cruise on the Oasis of the Seas from Bayonne, NJ to the Bahamas.  It's one of our favorite ships for the kids... and the parents too!  Check out our Group Cruises page for more information on how you can become part of the HowWeCruise Crew and join us.

The How We Cruise Crew joined the Family Reunion Group Cruise hosted by Have Luggage, Will Travel. It was a long way to Miami from New Jersey, but it was worth it to get to Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao, and to do it on Carnival's newest ship. This was a good one! We made new friends, participated in some shows, and met some of the most amazing crew including cruise director of the year, Lee Your Cruise Director.

Well, this one was a doozy! The Vlogger's Extravaganza! Let's take a whole bunch of cruise vlog YouTube channels and bring them together for 7 nights invading the Norwegian Breakaway on the way to Costa Maya, Roatan, and Cozumel. Unfortunately, we missed Harvest Caye, but you could just say we gained an extra sea day.

All your favorites from YouTube were there and guess what?? It's all on camera!

This ship was an amazing experience that will be tough to top. We made so many new friends, learned a whole bunch of new tips and tricks to share with you, and oh yeah, it was a lot of fun!

Brand New Ship! Brand New Ship Class! And oh yeah, Kelly Clarkson!  This was our first look at Norwegian Cruise Line's new ship The Pr1ma.  It was our first time on a Norwegian ship since our honeymoon cruise on the Pride of America in Hawaii.  Looks like our theme with Norwegian is Go Big or Go Home!

This ship was awesome for a mom and dad getaway, but is it the right ship for kids??? Indulge Food Hall, Oceanwalk Boulevard, The Drop, Galaxy Pavilion, and don't forget Syd Normans were all awesome.

Julie was fortunate enough to volunteer with a wonderful organization called Autism on the Seas.  On this sailing, Julie got to combine her love of cruising with her love of occupational therapy.  This was her first trip with Autism on the Seas, but it definitely won't be her last.

Want to see some video from this trip???  So do we!!!  But Julie was so busy, she was only able to get a few shorts.  She was able to take a few minutes to meet up with friends for a special celebration in Nassau, Bahamas!

This trip was the first scheduled trip for the How We Cruise Crew, but got cancelled TWICE due to the shutdown.  This sailing went to Port Canaveral, FL, Nassau, Bahamas, and Perfect Day at CocoCay.

We were super bummed that this sailing kept getting postponed, but the good news was that while we were waiting, 7 families from the How We Cruise Crew decided to join us.  Surprise Group Cruise!  And it was a blast!  If you want to join us on future group cruises, drop us a line at howwecruise@gmail.com.

Oops we did it again!  We got impatient and couldn't wait until June!  Julie and the kids have some time off for Spring Break, so what better than a last minute deal!

Cruise tip - If you're flexible on where you want to go and what type of cabin you'll stay in, you can save a lot of money on last minute trips.  For this one, we drove to Port Canaveral with the kids and what an adventure it was.

This sailing was a 6 night trip with stops in Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic, Grand Turk in Turks and Caicos, and Carnival's private island in the Bahamas, Half Moon Cay.

The first cruise for the How We Cruise Crew together as a family.  The kids woke up Christmas morning to find out they were leaving on vacation... right now!  It was a crazy trip!  First full family vlog, COVID protocols, and oh yeah, keeping it a secret!
